Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular reality TV show in the summer of Big Brother which returned to CBS for the 22nd season on August 5. Chen Moonves had been the first of The Talk's hosts, hosting and moderating the talk show between 2010 and 2018. Her true love in life was writing and she received an Emmy. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour newscast in the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq as well as other important reports, for The Early Show. Following the attacks of 9/11 Chen Moonves uncovered the father and leader hijacker to give an exclusive interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with notable newsmakers including the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania and the former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She profiled famous people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Mel Brooks, Robert deNiro Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey. Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a journalist for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). Also, she was a reporter for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first broadcasting job was working as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' heroes. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots.
